I have been doing so much research. I want to know if there’s a way that I can reverse all the damage I’ve done to my general health- and body.
Yes, I would love to lose the weight, but for me it is ultimately about my health – because I do believe if you do not fix something at the root it will just pop back up again and again- and of course just get worse over time.
I know about the dairy, I now know about the wheat and the gluten, so if I continue to put that into my system, surely, I can’t expect any lasting change- or any kind of improvement.
I also know anything can kill us; it doesn’t necessarily have to be an illness created from a bad diet – but why not be that good to your body? and yourself?

And do what you can do to live a healthy life, and maybe even be rewarded with longevity!
So, I’ve been listening to this Doctor and that doctor on You Tube and reading this book and that book. I will make a list or write a blog about the books I have found helpful soon.
Some things I forget, and some things really stay with me- in other words it really made an impression.
I think because I identify with certain things from having had an actual experience.
Like when I experienced a brain thing and nobody understood, I found a group of doctors that study the effects gluten has on the brain, and they even discussed the symptoms.
This was such a big thing for me because, maybe -even I thought I was crazy at some point.
My doctor even sent me for a MRI and again, everything was “normal”
I once ended up in the ER for something unrelated and as per their usual procedures I had to get some x-rays as well -and the Radiographer asked me if I know my belly was full of air, like a balloon – lol, of course I knew!
This is the gluten balloon belly. I just said yes, I’m aware because I really was not in the mood to get into it.
I have also since learnt a lot about gluten free eating.
It is quite hectic!
Create healthy habits – not restrictions – unknown
because I’ve learnt that gluten is almost everywhere!

You have to read every label of everything you eat and buy.
I have even tried being Vegan for a while.
I have done a 30- day trail, for both gluten free eating and a Vegan diet.
I even extended the Vegan lifestyle for longer and I must say it does make a difference. I feel much better – in my digestive system that is.
There’s one thing that stands out for me, because I heard it from so many different people/ Doctors etc.
They say: for something (let’s say gluten) to leave your system, you should abstain for eight weeks or longer.
Obviously if it is bad for you, like in my case, I have an intolerance (there are people with an outright allergy to gluten) you should eliminate it from your diet permanently.
I just mean for it to make a difference in your body, it will take that long.
The other study that I find very fascinating is this:
The raw food diet!

Dr Sebi comes to mind immediately,
They say if you eat only raw food (Fruits & Vegetables) for three months (90 Days), it can heal your body completely. A raw food diet is when you eat only raw food – any food that has not been heated above 48 degrees Celsius.
That is amazing!
Using nature to heal!
It could very well be what God had in mind for us all along!
I have watched so many testimonies of people that have done it before and their stories are incredible.
All different of course, some had a lot of allergy related skin conditions, some had more than one issue, some had cancer,
some had diabetes – and eating only raw food cured all of them.
Isn’t that amazing! – I say again!
I find the idea of healing your body with healthy food fascinating,
I mean!
Who knew!
I sure as hell did not!
I only learnt about Veganism around 2014- ish – and that is just the truth!
At first I just started with swapping out cow’s milk for soy or almond milk and so on.
I did the Daniel fast for the first time in 2021. That was a wonderful experience as well and of course I mean not just for my body-
Wellness is the complete integration of body mind and spirit – the realisation that everything we do, think, feel and believe has an effect on our state of well being – Greg Anderson
It was a wonderful spiritual experience indeed- maybe we can talk about that some time?
Veganism has its advantages of course, it cuts out all the dairy and it is just generally much healthier- but I do find that the gluten free part is still something to navigate carefully.
The raw food diet is something I want to explore when I am ready. I must be ready in every way, fully committed when I do decide to start off on such a journey- and then of course not put “the wrong fuel (food)” in my system again.
But I don’t want to set myself up to fail. I want to be ready in every way. I have thought about it so much and I know one thing! I will start in the warmer months (like now)– I just cannot see it happening any other way!
In the meantime, I will just continue to swap out the dairy for vegan alternatives and choose gluten free options where I can.
I have however deiced that a raw food diet is something I really want to do in the future – for at least three months
It might be a bit extreme, it might even be hard, but this is the thing!
I want to go to the root and fix the problem there. I’ve never been one for a band aid fix, so why start now?

I will definitely document my journey here when the time comes.
Naturally it is so important to move your body daily as well- for me right now walking on the treadmill is what I can do. I will adjust that as I go along.
I just really like to see what would happen if I tried to fix something at the root as it relates to health and wellness. And share what I have and will learn along the way.
I’ve condensed this so much, not to be a drag- but this really is just a fraction of the information I have gathered.
I will be embarking on this journey soon. I will document the entire 90 days.
Please stay tuned for more!
I’d love that!
xo
