Find a niche! Decide on your Niche! You must have a niche! Oh my gosh! Okay! I get it! Niche! Niche! Niche!

How do I decide though?

When I decided to not go back and look for another corporate job and instead see if I could make this my new career – I decided on a Lifestyle blog. I felt that it would give me lots of room. I would have so much to write about and being a girls girl I love and enjoy so many things. Everything from fashion, to décor, to small appliances, to hair care, skin care and make up. Not to mention health and wellness and of course travelling. My love for hotels, is definitely something I would write about – as often as I can.

I love trying new things and exploring new places- and I would absolutely love to share my thoughts on that. At the same time, I am a creature of habit, and I do believe in the saying: if it aint broke….

So, I’ll write about me, what I know and what I do on any given day.

Naturally that also means, I will write about my latest new small appliances and how I like them. What I have done in the house, new décor or just additions. All the new products I am enjoying, be it hair care, skin care or make up. All kinds of fashion accessories, from sunglasses to shoes to beautiful summer dresses- and even the latest perfume I’ve added to my always growing collection.

I want to write about my own struggles with my weight and what I am doing about it. Even about the recipes I’m trying and the ones I’m making part of my permanent routine. About the lifestyle changes I must make with regards to allergies and intolerances- and how that’s going!

About the fact that I haven’t exercised in the longest time and how walking on the treadmill is the only thing I can commit to now – and how that changes over time.

About trying Pilates for the first time!

Variety is the very spice of life. That gives it all flavour – William Cowper

New morning and nighttime routines. Making a point of reading more, journaling – and just living more intentionally in general!

About everything that is of interest to me really!

The goals I set for myself and whether or not I can achieve them.

My wins and also my losses…

There’s never any shame in that- we live and learn every single day!

I of course have also lived a lot of life! And I have many stories and random topics I would like to write about.

Voice my own opinions and my unique perspective- and naturally a blog is the perfect place to do exactly that. I have had many experiences that I would like to share- and one thing I know- You are never the first one to have gone through something, and you will probably not be the last!

So, it might be nice to talk about it – and also knowing I am not alone!

I have always known that there was more to life than meets the eye- deep down inside. That there’s some kind of order to things and nothing is really random or coincidental. So, this has taught me to look deeper and to work harder at understanding. To have an open mind and not limit myself to ‘what I know” I guess my intuition believed in me even when I didn’t recognize it

Also to not shy away from new experiences and meeting new people.  But as they say; with age comes wisdom, so discernment has to be your compass. We’ve all been in the situation where things didn’t exactly go as we thought it would or in hindsight realized we ignored all the red flags!

We can chalk it up to lessons learnt!

I’ve always been extremely detail orientated – even when it comes to just observing people- but this is really just a strong characteristic that’s evident in all areas of my life.

I am intrigued by humans. It is so interesting to see people in action. To see the dynamics between them and to watch them show you who they are just by being. Understanding just how limited or expansive their vision is, just by listening. How vulnerable or fully in ego mode they are in life, by way of their actions or expectations and even values.

So, writing about my own life experiences will definitely be happening here, as well as interactions I’ve had with others.

To see how these experiences has shaped me…

And all of this knowing that each and every one us are always just doing the best we can!

Then there’s other life topics like spirituality. Wow! Now that is a whole other avenue to explore. I have learnt so much over the last few years.

Sameness is the mother of disgust, variety the cure – Petrarch

Listen, I will admit! I was an adult, married, with children when I still thought God was an old man up in the sky- outside of me! It never once crossed my mind that the spirit of the living God was on the inside of me! That close!

That all changed for me around 2016 only. Yes! I learn by experiencing, not by being told!

This really goes to show that childhood really is a firm foundation. (as faulty as it may be) As an adult you might think – no! I’ve changed my view since! Or that does not bother, affect or shape my actions anymore!

That could not be further from the truth!

That is another topic all on it’s own- childhood wounding! And what that healing process looks like. I’ve been there and I can talk about my very own daunting process.

Life has truly taken me on one hell of a trip! It brought me to a place where everything I thought I knew or even had been -all was just taken away from me- so that it could get my full attention- turned me inside out- broke me down! And built me back up again!

That is me oversimplifying a process that took years and was more painful than I could ever describe – but I will definitely try to!

So! All of this to say; I decided on a lifestyle blog, because I feel like I have a lot to say, many topics to touch on and by including all of this and more- I am guaranteed to have lots and lots of fun!

And really test my creative metal at the same time.

Maybe at some point I will start to narrow in on a specific topic, but for now…

Let’s just have some fun!
